After laying dormant for a number of years, the Buncrana music festival is making a comeback. The festival was cancelled after 2005 due to a lack of volunteers. However, in 2009 a facebook page was set up by local man Mark Denieffe promoting a new festival. The page immediately drew hundreds and eventually thousands of fans, young and old, local and not so local...

A festival committee has since been established and several fund raising events have been held to attain the much needed funds necessary to host such an event.

The festival is due to take place from the 22nd - 25th of July.

There's lots of hype about this year's festival - the organisers have made a huge effort so hopefully everyone will show their appreciation by turning up and enjoying the revived Buncrana Music Festival.
